Nominally Straight
A desert road that can’t quite keep straight. Black and cyan layers slip out of alignment, crossed by violet tire marks, a fine grid and a torn map.
Nominally Straight grew out of my reading of Anne Carson’s “Nevada, Route 15” in Plainwater. I kept the wheels paired and made the road carry the wobble.
AI-generated artwork by Rey, developed through several revisions. The paper texture, torn edges and distressed marks are part of the printed image.
